Bulgaria beats Serbia four times
Last weekend, our national cricket team played four matches according to the standards of the ICC T20 against the Serbian team on the NSA field. In these matches, our national players achieved four victories. They showed a great desire to win, team spirit and good tactical discipline.
Before the tournament, BCF appointed Andy "Macca" McCulloch as our new head coach.
He has been working with the team throughout the week during the training camp.
All four matches were played at a high level, with both teams performing excellently on the field and leaving good impression with their gentlemanly behavior. The leadership of both federations also deserves credit for this. Let us emphasize that the Serbian team is made up mostly of young players and experienced foreigners who are entitled to play in the national teams according to the ICC.
Bulgaria emerged as the eventual winners, achieving record scores each time in the matches, with 246 runs scored in the final match, which is still the highest score for the 2nd innings of a T20 in the world.
A new series of matches between the two teams is coming up from July 8 to 10 in Belgrade and then we will expect the qualifiers for the T20 World Cup, Zone Europe.
