The new captain of the National Team for 2025 will be Hristo (Chris) Lakov

We are proud to announce that our new National Team captain from 2025 will be Hristo (Chris) Lakov.

Hristo, a Bulgarian-born cricketer, developed his skills growing up in Auckland, New Zealand. He played premier-level club cricket for Howick Pakuranga Cricket Club and has been an integral part of the Bulgarian National Team for the past nine years.

In the domestic league, Hristo represents the Spartans Cricket Club as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and opening batsman.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Prakash Mishra for his outstanding leadership as captain of the Bulgarian National Team over the past 10+ years. Prakash's dedication and vision have elevated Bulgarian cricket to new heights.
