Last weekend, the final tournament for the Bulgarian T10 Cup ended. The four best teams for this year are: Indo-Bulgarian Cricket Club, CC “Academic”, CC BSKS and CC “Barberians”. From the very first match of the tournament, the surprises began.
CC “Barberians” won against the champion and winner of the European Cricket Series team of IBCC with result of 120/4 against 117/4 with a magnificent performance on the last ball of the last over of the match. In it, the players of Barbarians made a total of 21 runs and surprised everyone with their victory. The equal games and surprises continued throughout the tournament. “Barberians” surprised and BSKS composed entirely of students from the Medical University of Plovdiv again in the same way with an excellent game in the last over and won the match with 106/ 4 against 104/4 and qualified for the final against CC “Academic”.
In the final match, the students from the Medical University of Sofia started playing very concentrated from the first over and did not allow any surprises. They won the match and the Bulgarian T10 Cup by 41 runs. Although now without four players who graduated from MU and set off on their professional development path in the UK, the “academics” were the most balanced team for the tournament. They dedicated the victory to their teammate Kevin D Souza, for whom this was the last match for the team after graduating from the university.
Rohit Diman from the Indo-Bulgarian Cricket Club was awarded best player of the tournament. With this tournament, the 2022 outdoor s men’s ports calendar has ended. Indoor tournaments start in mid-November, which will be held in Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.
